Kudun and Partners is pleased to announce the promotion of our new corporate partner, Chai Lertvittayachaikul, a passionate and aspiring lawyer who will further strengthen our Corporate and M&A Practice. With the new promotion, our firm now has seven corporate partners, making a total of 12 partners with over 45 associates in the firm.

About Chai
Chai has over 13 years of experience in advising both local and international clients on a broad range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures and consortium arrangements, foreign direct investments including applying for investment promotion benefits, regulatory and licensing matters, as well as capital market and securities transactions. His expertise extends across multiple industries, including manufacturing, transportation, real estate, and telecommunications. He is particularly adept in the renewable energy sector; having successfully executed major M&A transactions and IPOs in the areas of solar, biomass, and wind energy projects, and hydropower projects.

Chai started his career as a lawyer with Herbert Smith (Thailand) before joining Hunton & Williams and DFDL Mekong and finally settling down in Kudun and Partners. He graduated in LL.B, Thammasat University and obtained his LL.M at the Chulalongkorn University.

During the tenure of his career to date, Chai has been active in various pro-bono and public speaking work. He has participated on behalf of the Thailand Board of Investment with Thai investors to Indonesia to promote inbound and outbound investment to Indonesia. He was a key speaker for “The Seven-Year Investment Promotion Strategy (2015-2021): Investment Promotion Criteria and Activities”, organized in collaboration with Thailand Board of Investment, which aims to provide information to investors regarding in-bound and out-bound Thai investment policy as well as eligible businesses for the investment promotions.

Apart from that, he was also instrumental in a training program organized by the faculty of law named “Young Business Lawyer Program (YBL Program)” for the 1st and the 2nd generations in one of the prestigious universities in Thailand, Ramkamhaeng University.
