Our China Practice team is expanding, and we want you to be a part of it!

Work alongside some of the brightest legal minds in Thailand with the opportunity to represent some of the largest Chinese investors in the country. Led by Mayuree Sapsutthiporn, a Thai-qualified legal practitioner proficient in Chinese, Thai, and English, and backed by a team of five seasoned lawyers, we provide innovative legal solutions and strategic advice for a diverse range of ventures, spanning greenfield and brownfield projects alike.

About the Role

As we continue to expand our practice, we are seeking highly skilled qualified lawyers, including foreign lawyers fluent in Mandarin to join our dynamic China Practice team.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal matters related to Chinese investment in Thailand, including corporate transactions such as facilitating joint venture formations, establishing strategic alliances, and representing Chinese investors in matters concerning corporate acquisitions, real estate transactions, as well as the intricate negotiation of commercial contracts and agreements; foreign direct investment, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Responsibility

    • Provide legal advice and support to Chinese clients investing in Thailand.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis on Chinese and Thai laws and regulations.
    • Assist in negotiating and drafting agreements with Chinese counterparties.
    • Collaborate with our team of Chinese-speaking lawyers and legal assistants.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Key requirements

    • Chinese-speaking qualified lawyers with outstanding academic credentials.
    • Fluency in Chinese and English (both oral and written).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Intellectual curiosity and versatility.
    • Self-starter with the desire and ability to continuously acquire, build upon and share knowledge.
    • Detail-focused and self-motivated approach.
    • Knowledge in Thai law and Thai language is an added advantage.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
    • Collaborative team player with the ability to develop and work in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.
